Thanks Jill for fixing the porn thing. I tried to post early this week, but it didn't post the update so I'll relate here, to the best of my overworked memory, Sipkes progress to date! Both Karen and Sipke are fairing well, tired and sore, but making daily progress towards "getting in to the groove" of hiking. Progess averages about 10 miles a day.... They had a 14 miles day over scrabble at altitude last Saturday, and Sipke got his first blister. Some of the trails have altitude gains of over a thousand feet at a time, which were hard, but Sipkes cheif complaint was a 1300 foot descent that left them both very weary. That evening was rewarded though, with a shuttle to Harmony, GA, a hotel and an all you can eat buffet. They barely missed a torential rain shower, as it began to rain within minutes of getting in the van. Last night (May 21) they progressed over Albert Mountain, and will be arriving in Franklin tonight, I expect another update then, and will post again...... happy trails to all.
