Kimble - Bass - Stark Lake

​Weekly Tuesday Paddle

WEATHER NOTE: This is another one of those nights that it's difficult to say how the weather will respond at the time of paddle. Right now (as of 4:45 PM) in Crosslake there is no rain around. Doesn't look like anymore till around 10 PM so I'll say we should be good to go tonight. I'm planning on heading to the launch site and then checking last minute how it looks. It is a small lake so if necessary we can get off of the lake easily.

This is another new lake this year. The plan is to find and navigate the creek's and channels between lakes. If accessible then we would go from Kimble Lake to Bass Lake to Little Bass Lake to Little Round Lake to Stark Lake. Should be interesting!

Directions from Brainerd (35 Minute Drive)

• Take MN-210 E
• Turn left onto County Rd 3 (8th Ave NE) towards Merrifield
• Take right at Y to stay on County Rd 3 towards Crosslake
• Take left onto County Rd 11
• Take right onto County Rd 39
• Turn left onto Strawberry Lake Rd
• Slight right to stay on Strawberry Lake Rd
• Slight left to Kimble Lake Access
• Public access straight ahead
