Pool Session 1/6/2019
The first of a series of pool sessions, designed to learn, maintain, and improve your skills as a Kayaker.
This weeks focus will be on the basics of getting around with your kayak during the winter. We'll cover transporting, carrying, launching in the pool, as well as logistical challenges such as icy straps, pool rules and unloading. Be prepared to get wet, as we'll also practice wet exits until we're super confident and skilled.
The finisher will be a skills and rolling demo, as well as more practice and play.
If you have your kayak available, please bring it. It is imperative that it be squeaky clean, inside and out. We don't want any pine needles, leaves or mud getting in to the pool. If you can't access your kayak, no worries this week, we'll find something to share. Also, bring a PFD(mandatory), swim clothes (neoprene recommended), your paddle and nose plugs if you have them. Lockers are available, but you must bring your own lock.
Bring your family and friends too. This session is open to all, no fees, no worries. But Please. Register. Either via this website or by direct email to Renee at h2ohgirl@gmail.com. Let's get started!
